Not only have we satisfied our customer base, but we have done so in a way that inspires them to recommend us to their friends and neighbors.
Honestly, I haven't noticed a lot of business from social media. Most of our business comes from referrals, and the fact that our work force is seen all over town. It's pretty simple really....great customer service! Something that sets us apart from the competition is the fact that we have a dedicated quality control manager that does periodic inspections on customer properties. We fill out a property evaluation sheet with suggestions on improving/enhancing the property, and a grading system for the work our crews are doing on the property, and we leave a copy of that report with the customer. We use an application for bids and proposals that sends us a reminder to follow up with the prospective customer within 3 days of sending the quote. We stress communication with the customer from every department in the company. Communication is key.
We have specific branding on all our trucks, lawn signs, business cards, etc., so we advertise the business pretty much everywhere we go. When we are doing a landscape job, we have a temporary lawn sign in the yard, along with the truck on the street. We do have a company website, Facebook page, and You Tube channel, but when I ask prospective clients how they heard about us, they almost always say, "We see your trucks all over town". Visibility is a must! The more people see you, the more they consider using your services.

I feel like communication with the customer is key. It shows the customer your interest level, and that you respect the business relationship enough to keep them in the loop.
